My family and I chose the Donut Muffins recipe for our first test-drive. Wow! It should come with a warning. Is it a muffin or is a a donut? It is a scrumptious chocolate chip masterpiece! It was awesome! Donut Muffins yields a dozen. And, I plan on baking with my mini-muffin pans the next go around in order to make these tasty treats last longer or I could bake up two dozen.

Grandparents can make a visit more memorable by having the kids help whip up a batch of Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels, Chocolate Banana Pops or Chocolate-Dipped Coconut Macaroons. MAKES ABOUT 6 SERVINGS
Chocolate fondue is a very elegant dessert. It is so easy to make that you shouldn’t let others know exactly how easy. It is a very special dessert for a child’s birthday when made without the liqueur; you can substitute decaf coffee instead.
Leftover fondue can be refrigerated overnight. Warm in microwave before serving.
Try to use a fondue pot with a tea light that is made for chocolate fondue so that the chocolate won’t burn.
• Ceramic fondue pot or medium ceramic dish
3⁄4 cup whipping (35%) cream 175 mL
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 250 mL
2 tbsp liqueur such as hazelnut 25 mL
Suggested Dipping Items
Cubes of loaf or pound cake
1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream and chocolate chips. Microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until chocolate is shiny and almost melted. Stir until smooth.
2. Whisk liqueur into chocolate mixture. Transfer to fondue pot.
