I received a complimentary copy of Adventures in Odyssey The Imagination Station: Surprise at Yorktown #15 by Marianne Hering and Nancy I. Sanders for this review posting through Tyndale Blog Network.
"In war, we trust only God Himself, Washington said.
Mr. Whittaker runs an ice-cream shop called Whit's End, in the town of Odyssey. He has a workshop and is a bit of an inventor. He created a time machine called Imagination Station. The Imagination Station can send someone back in time to other periods of history.
On this particular day, cousins Patrick and Beth visit the shop looking for adventure. Previously, they traveled back in time to the American Revolution where they met Paul Revere and James Forten. Mr. Whittaker a.k.a. "Whit" knew they had their hearts set on meeting General George Washington.
Whit notified the cousins that today they will return to the American Revolution that takes place in 1781 at Yorktown, Virginia. He shared special gifts with Patrick and Beth. What role will these items play in the adventure? The journey is a dangerous one filled with mysterious couriers and spies, exploding cannonballs, a horrific storm and more. Will they be able to help save their county and make it back alive?
Surprise at Yorktown #15 by Marianne Hering and Nancy I. Sanders is filled with fun history facts and encourages faith and character at the same time. It has lots of twists and turns! It is an easy-to-read chapter book recommended for children ages 7 and up. And, it's affordable priced at $4.99.
