Dean Nelson National Outreach Director

He Will Lead OFL's Government Relations, Multi-Ethnic Coalition Building Efforts

DALLAS, July 28, 2014 – Online for Life (OFL), an educational nonprofit that uses a combination of technology and compassion to reach out to abortion-determined mothers
and fathers, has named Rev. Dean Nelson its National Outreach Director.

Nelson, who is based in the Washington, D.C., area, has already assumed his duties with OFL, building partnerships with leaders in abortion-vulnerable demographic groups and working as a liaison to various government entities.

"Dean has been an important and respected voice in the pro-life community for a number of years," OFL president and co-founder Brian Fisher said. "We're thrilled that he has joined us in our quest to save unborn babies from abortion."

Rev. Nelson is an executive leader and organizational consultant with more than 20 years of experience in ministry and more than 10 years in political activism on the local, state and national levels. He is the Chairman of the Board for the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a Christ-centered, multi-ethnic nonprofit that believes in the sanctity of human life. He has worked for other major pro-life and Christian organizations, including CareNet, Global Outreach Campus Ministries and Wellington Boone Ministries.
"Online for Life is on the cutting edge of innovation in the pro-life movement," Rev. Nelson said. "I'm eager to bring its message of grace and compassion to new audiences."
Rev. Nelson is a sought-after speaker for churches and other organizations and has also appeared on The 700 Club, CBN News and MSNBC. He is a frequent guest on Christian radio, including appearances on the Bott Radio Network and American Family Radio.
Online for Life uses online and offline marketing and outreach to connect women and families considering abortion with life-affirming centers that provide a free ultrasound and information on all of the options

available, as well as information about the emotional and psychological impact of terminating a pregnancy. As each family or individual chooses life for its baby, OFL celebrates the decision on Facebook and via its app, which also invites people to pray in real time for those who are being counseled at the life-affirming centers. For more information, please visit www.onlineforlife.org.
